GROWING TOGETHER TO CREATE A BETTER FUTURE

Uniting Brands for a Better Future

JDE Peet’s Common Grounds programme unites the power of our brands to create positive change for people, the planet, and the future of coffee and tea.

Responsible Sourcing

Responsible Sourcing, means for us that the green coffee we purchase is produced according to industry-recognized principles. Where necessary, we address and improve potential social and environmental issues. Through our Common Grounds programs, we support entire regions, and because our approach is accessible to everyone, we create large-scale impact and contribute to structural systemic change. Our responsible sourcing approach is audited by Deloitte and verified by Enveritas.

D.E Hard Cup

The D.E. hard cup is a reusable hard plastic coffee cup designed for dynamic locations with high foot traffic, such as schools, offices, large hospitals, sports canteens, and amusement parks. Because these places require a large number of cups, stackable hard cups are preferred, while porcelain and glassware are less practical. In addition, the D.E hard cup is the most sustainable alternative to the cardboard coffee cup. Sustainability and circularity are key priorities for Jacobs Douwe Egberts Professional, which is why this D.E hard cup was developed to be recycled at the end of its life cycle. Furthermore, the D.E hard cup lasts for at least 400 washes and is produced in Germany.

CO₂ Performance Ladder

We are proud to share that we have achieved the highest level of the CO₂ Performance Ladder. Not only is our production process evaluated, but also the installation and maintenance of hot beverage machines. We have these assessed by independent organizations to ensure we meet the highest standards. These critical analyses provide new insights that help us improve our management system and, consequently, our sustainability performance. JDE Professional has earned various recognitions based on quality standards. These demonstrate that in the trade, installation, and maintenance of hot beverage machines, we comply with multiple environmental and quality standards.
