All our bean products are produced at our dedicated coffee roastery at Kingsgrove, Sydney. After roasting, the coffee beans are packed. We use a multi-layered laminate packaging for all coffee bags as this provides the best barrier against oxygen and light to maintain freshness. We also gas flush all bags and have one way valves that allow the coffee to de-gas without letting air in. These two steps ensure the highest possible quality of product is provided to the customer.
Product Development is undertaken in house by our Master Roaster, Wayne Archer, who has over 35 years of experience in the coffee industry and is one of Australia’s foremost coffee experts. Wayne is supported by a dedicated coffee specialist and the QA team. All aspects from green bean delivery through blending, roasting, grinding, packaging and release of finished goods are covered and approved through our comprehensive Quality Management System. This is evidenced by the following certifications and approvals:
- SQF Level 3
- AQIS Approved place of Quarantine
- Australian Certified Organic SKU
In addition, Kingsgrove also holds UTZ Crtification and maintains an Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001 2004, demonstrating the JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
